Norah Jones music is always a great choice when I need some quiet, relaxing tunes, or tunes that are not run of the mill, constantly played on the radio. Which is why I was excited to hear on the release of her collaboration cd, ...Featuring!
This album is just that...relaxing and intriguing because of her creative collaborations with a wide range of artists from various genres. We listened to it in the car with our four-year-old and just as I suspected, she was well entertained with the "girl songs". Some of the songs on the album would be great for nighttime relaxation or even getting little ones to bed; they are soothing and not overpowering. I've always been a fan of OutKast and Ryan Adams, so I was pleased to see them featured here. Not everyone will be a fan of this album, but anyone who is a Norah Jones fan (or fan of those featured on this collaboration) should definitely check it out. It's worth a listen!

It is a collection spanning Norah's entire singing career. She collaborated with some stellar musicians including -- Dolly Parton, The Foo Fighters, Q-Tip, OutKast, Willie Nelson, and Ray Charles. Her four previous albums sold over 40 million copies throughout the world.
“A lot of the people on this record are people I've worshiped since I was a kid, and some of them are younger and more my contemporaries,” says Norah. “Even though the musicians are so varied, the vibe of the songs makes sense when we put them all together.”
